Yes, but Trollope still holds the record for most appearances for one club and one club only.  That was the point I was making.

No he does not.

Trollope holds the record for most league appearance for one club whilst only having played a complete game for that one club.

Lewington holds the record for most league appearances for one club.

JT 889 STFC appearances in all competitions
Lewington 892 MK appearances in all competitions

Trollope does have a better goals to game ratio though of a goal every 31.75 games (all comp) compared to Lewington a goal every 37.17 games.

League wise they’ve both scored 21 goals over their 770 & 771 games respectively.

I imagine JT has played more minutes over his appearances that Lewington has…

Yeah... Trollope made his debut in 1960....5 years before substitutes were even invented...
