Hi all.

Stevenage fan here in peace.

Totally understand this has no direct relevance to Swindon Town but I'm just trying to reach out to as many football supporters as possible.

Just wanna promote a charity walk myself and 10 other Stevenage fans are doing in August in memory of our former player Mitchell Cole and raising money for his families chosen charity, the Cardiomyopathy Association or CMA for short. We are starting on a friday at Oxford Uniteds stadium and returning to the lamex stadium in Stevenage in time for kick off of our 1st home game of the 2013-14 season, Oldham at home on the 3rd of August. Roughly 65 miles in about 30 hours............................we think.........................we hope

When Mitchell passed in December last year obviously it was a total shock. Our club held a benefit game in his memory and it was great to see a fans from many clubs there showing their support.

We are wearing the shirts from the 11 football clubs Mitch represented during his career. They are Norwich, West Ham, Southend, Northampton, Grays, Stevenage, Oxford, Hitchin, Biggleswade, Arlseley and Stotfold. All shirts will have COLE 21 on the back (21 being Mitch's squad number at the Boro).

If anybody would like to make a donation to the CMA charity then please do so through the attached link.

Good luck for the 2013-14 and thanks for your time and support

Kind regards

Terry

That was my first ever away game Smiley

Never have I seen Stevenage torn apart in 45 minutes on our own turf as you did last season. Men against boys afraid to say.

Still, never mind.

All the best.

Good luck with the walk, I've made a small donation.

I'm pretty sure I saw Mitchell Cole play for Biggleswade Town during his brief spell there a few years ago. Going further back,
a few Town fans may remember him featuring for Southend Utd against us during 2005-06. And yes, Southend won both games.

Are you a bit pissed we are trying to sign Mark Roberts from you?

Good luck with the walk by the way.

Friend of mine ran the london marathon for the mitchell cole charity.

Stevenage away last season was the perfect performance from us I think. We did everything right that day! Stevenage fans were very friendly too.

good luck with your walk, I will donate once I've posted this.

Hi all.

Thanks for donations that have been made so far, very much appreciated.

I'm gutted that Robbo is leaving, Stevenage I feel will struggle to replace the player, the leader and the man. We thought he would leave last summer. He is a Stevenage legend and I for one will give Robbo a warm reception when he returns which is the least he deserves.

You will have signed a great defender and top bloke.

All the best.

I hope so, he is exactly the sort of signing we need to be making, an improved offer is on the cards I hope.
