i was traveling down the M40 when a Toyota ? came up behind me to race. I pulled over at 115mph to make him think i couldn't go anymore then dropped it to 4th and shot up behind him. He pulled over at 135ish mph and i carried on as the road was clear to see what i could do and topped out at 145. the wife didn't appreciate it though. :-))(

In my boy racer days was when i was playing football in Wantage. I only had a boyed up XR3i. It was a night game so i left about 10:15pm and arrived back in my village (middle Barton) at 10:43pm.
Was a bit silly by me as was only 19 but i was flying down the A34.
of course i wouldn't dare do that now :-))(

Did 149 down M4 in my last car, probably could of gone quicker. Same car i did Cheltenham to swindon in 14 minutes! That was pretty fun! When i was younger hit the end of the speedo at 160@5000rpm in my dads old car and that red lined at around 6000rpm and was still pulling like a train. that fillled my pants.

driving to newquay in my dads saab last year I had it on cruise control at 120mph. I slowed it down to eat some crisps. Fastest Ive been is 135. I am usually a safe driver.

I think my bike does 0 - 95 in 7.6 sec (about 8.5 for 0-100) - it certainly stretches your arms a bit (not that I ever do it on public roads)

My car tops out at 117mph (revs hit the red line) but Asher that is bloody hardcore! Can I touch you? I've never seen anyone go above 120mph on a public road, but at certain times (e.g.: middle of the night) it is safe as you pose little danger to anyone but yourself. Have to say at a little under 120mph I was a bit scared, although my car felt a little light on steering (no spoiler gave it little downforce as the car swayed in the wind) and I did do this when it was a touch busy, but I was running late for party Normally, I'm not happy over 95mph on a public road, and only ever hit 100mph at a push... I'll undertake, or tailgate if people get in my way, but I don't feel safe at over 95mph!!!

Most my fiesta can do is 115-120 and I've done that a few times, mainly down the A419 but twice I've had to break hard 'cos of police speed check vans parked on the central reservation. They've not caught me though. :advercool:
One time I was doing 115 or so and a bike absolutely shot past me doing at least 170mph probably more.
Fastest I've been was about 130 in my mates honda civic.
A guy I know at uni has a Ferrari 360 but I've not been in it.

230 mph on GT3 but in real life 145 in my old scooby.......... i'm hoping to get a scooby next summer. Wont be a brand new one but i'm looking at spending £15k on one which should see me pick up a very decent second hand one. Been looking around on the internet lately just to see whats around and there is an old P1 going for £16000 with 36k on the clock. Looks absolute mint in the photos with Subaru history aswell. Checked insurance and can get it for £1100 fully comp. Not bad really If only i had the money now.

Well the speeding ticket has finally arrived and apparently they only caught me at 89. Must have slowed down quick enough but i did doubt i had! Just the 3 points and £60 fine. Fortuantely my boss has said he will pay the fine and as i have a company car he also pays the insurance so i won't feel it!
