Any TEFer who does this. Have Freesat and Sky to the living room. Want to run Freesat to 2 bedrooms. Have used Ferndale Aerials in the past but let me down last time.

I used Swindon Aerial Services in old town when I moved and they did a great job for me.

how old is your dish, i'm guessing you have 4 points to it and currently use 2?  If so it's easy to do yourself.

If you don't fancy that then i suggest you ring sky before paying someone to come out. I did that 18 months or so ago and renewed with them as they sent an engineer out for free who renewed the dish and ran another feed into a bedroom for a freesat box. worth a try but it is getting harder to get stuff out of them lately. i only got 25%off for 6 months after a long call with them last week.

Sky can go fuck themselves. The reason for freesat is to tell Sky to fuck off. I was paying them about £75 a month with HD and multiroom but dropped that down to £25 and i'll drop it down again soon once I'm set up.
One thing I didn;t really consoder is that tellies with freesat built in only seem to be 32 inches or above

Ignore me.  I've just gone and checked and I got confused.  It's freeview not freesat.

If you did want to go this route you could use your old Sky box(es)

a) I think the expired subscription card will act as a freesat card anyway allowing you to watch FTA and FTV programs.

b) In any case you can pick up a Freesatfromsky card for £25

http://www.sky.com/shop/freesat/home/faq/ (see "I already have Sky digital satellite equipment - what else do I need?")

May not fit your requirements, but its something else to consider.

I'm the stupid one  - expecting a woman to understand these things.

That's harsh, Women are technologically minded. Things like what all the settings on the washing machine do, how hot the iron should be, that kind of stuff.

Have you got tv aerial sockets in these 2 rooms CS? If so, just plug in and watch freeview.

My son has a Freesat hd box which is decent and my daughter has on old sky box which works well to. Just buy the cable from Ebay and run 2 more feeds in which will cost a few quid to do.
