No surprise he's gone, but there are some clubs you just know should come with a health warning.

No matter who manages these clubs, disaster is just round the corner.

Villa
Cardiff - the eternal bottlers
Coventry
Wolves

I know managers take these jobs as they get paid come what may but it does their CVs no good

i don't get it.  why go to all that trouble to get in a manager that none of the fans want, give him basically no money after two of their best players were sold then sack him a year later.

very few managers would have been able to do a better job than he has done (i'm sure martinez would have mind) and i can't see anything beyond another year fighting against relegation.

The problem at Villa is that they sold all their best players and left the sqaud with the likes of Collins, Heskey and Ireland. I would blame the Chairman for Villa being shite.

Spot on.  Spent a fair amount of cash to back O'Neill but the last couple of season's he's spent fuck all. Best part of £40m banked last season and spent that on....?

Probably the Cleveland Browns (who play another 'sport' in the US called 'Football')

Being a watcher of NFL, I can tell you that he most definitely didn't spend anything on the Cleveland Browns.

Just had a quick read on the situation and that would seem to be the case (was worth 1.5 billion in 2009 but significantly losses since then) suggesting no funds would have been available to McLeish or Cleveland

Was listening to TalkSPORT earlier and a Villa fan phoned up and suggested Paolo Di Canio as their next manager. Hilarious!
