Think we can all agree he's been the best we've had in a while covering the town, off to BBC Sport in Salford. Good luck to him.
He embraced the new social network side of things and kept us in the loop.

Noticed a massive improvement in the adver's Swindon coverage since he's been here, so a massive shame but a perfectly understandable move. Will be missed!

Gary's info was always correct, not made up like some of his predecessors. Will be missed by the supporters, good luck in your new job Gary.

Shame, have noticed how much the Adver's coverage has improved since he got there.
The information that he provides on twitter is brilliant as well.

Hope he's not replaced by the twat who 10 mins from the end of the wembley game said to me 'Looks like Swindon are going to lose what do you think the team will take from this?' Said the game wasn't over and told the cunt to do one

Covering Swindon Town for the Advertiser has been quite a nice stepping stone for journalists.
Rose probably couldn't have wished for a better year to cover Town.

Thats a real shame. Andy Cryer did my fucking head in, so hopefully we get someone as good as Gary Rose.
Cryer always peddled the 'supporters expectations' tag line, whereby if a manager ever stated they wanted promotion, or top 6, and they didnt achieve it he would slaughter them. He's still doing it now, up in Blackburn.
Theres always a balance to be struck between being supportive of the club, but not hiding from the real issues.

Anthony Marshall was alright until he got that cushy little number as one of Newcastle's in-house writer.

Typical, angling for a better move using Swindon as a stepping stone. I hope PdC holds out for a decent fee.
