16,500 is peanute mate.  Think about it an agent probably puts in a few days work on each contract and must be on 100k.  2k per deal say isnt that much.  We must have signed or renewed at least 16 contracts so thats 1,000 each.

that £16'500 probably accounts for christian roberts, jerel ifil, and all the re-negotiations of contracts that went on?

i can never understand why clubs have to pay agents, surely it's up to the player to pay the agent to do his work for him?

I agree but I was only saying its not that much in the slightest.  I was just saying they have to earn there money.  I blame players employing them and also clubs paying it.  What Jorden is doing at palace is applaudable!

Very true.  It's that Pini Zahavi who is seemingly causing the trouble with the current Rio Ferdinand saga.

However, it's also a reality of the game and the teams who did not splash out on agents fees did not sign any big names.  In my estimation, I reckon a large portion of agents fees were paid for the Roberts' transfer - just a gut feeling.

Think its only the CC league that has to publish them....its one of the initiatives of Brian Mawhinney, the CE of the FL, who I once met in a work capacity, who despite going on to be a much loathed Tory minister, came over at the time as  decent fella.

It was somewhere around here for L1  so I guess les autres will also be there.

after the van nistelrooy fiasco (paying an agent nearly 2million quid for a player who said he wants to stay, wants a new contract and doesnt want a pay rise) manure are no longer paying agents to re-new contracts so pini zahavi will not get payed if rio signs a new deal. that is why there is a delay, zahavi is hoping chelsea, real madrid or barca put in an offer to buy ferdinand and zahavi will then be able bleed more money out of the clubs.

agents should be outlawed from sport they take money from clubs players and fans for doing naff all  :x

Ferdinand should have signed without any hesitation after the way Utd stuck by him through that drug test scandle.

In the wacky world inhabited by these peeps, Rio's agent probably reckoned that his client got a ban because ManUre were negligent in making sure he got to the drug test rather than being left to his own devices....subsequently they are in fact culpable in damaging his reputation...and therefore need to compensate him for defaming his previously good name.

Not sure I'll believe that though.  Surely Man Ure will protect a 30m investment, even if it means paying agent's fees.

I agree with Yeovil - the way Man Ure stuck by Ferdinand after his drug's scandal, which ultimately was his fault, he should accept a vastly reduced salary rather than bleeding him dry.  If he was a Swindon player, I think as a fan I wouldn't want him playing for the club, as I'd resent him for the suspension, and for a transfer which in my opinion cost Man Ure more than he was worth.

 Fucking unbelievable, but as usually you are right Reg.All these players inhabit such a cosseted world, they can do anything and it is never their fault. They drag the sport we love through the mud and never take responsibility for their own actions. The agents just encourage them in this belief, the fuckers.
