"We're going to break you" - fuckin' hell, that initiation was harsh!
I'd rather ring the bell, spend 24 hours in the cells and go home

Don't people run away to the foreign legion if they kill someone, or something like that?

yeah, all sorts. A friend of mine was in the foreign legion, fuck knows why, cause he had done nothing wrong.
He has stories that would make anything anyone has done seem like nothing, you feel like a proper pussy round him!
Solitary confinement, jail, beatings and numerous other things were dished out just for being ill!
Anyway, he went AWOL and was trying to get out of france for nearly 6 months. He will go down hard if he ever sets foot in france again.

That programme was quality!! Can't wait for next week's edition. You gotta be hard as feck or mentally insane to want to do that sort of thing. I did kinda think fair play to them though. Hope a few of them make it!

Noticed most of the ex-legion guys only did it for the minimum 5 years. It's my idea of torture that's for sure. Good progremme though.

I reckon we should send Igoe there for pre-season training, then give him a contract, then he'd know about hard work.
