I can remember the bonfire nights of old,living in Park North the next morning would be spent collecting the spent fireworks...the air would be filthy,ware the Spar shop is in Welcome Avenue used to be wasteland covered in old fireworks......funny how you remember shit like that...seems a really quite one tonight.

It should be a bank holiday, or at least the nearest friday or monday. We don't have enough holidays in the second half of the year, and it's one of the few days which are purely British.

I've grown up having some pretty ace firework parties as it's my sisters birthday, which of course became a good excuse for general alcohol and explosive abuse for my parents and their friends, and of course some thievery of the above opportunities for me and my friends.

Also why I'm babysitting tonight. Sister and Russell are going out for a meal. I don't mind. Got some beer.
