Does anyone here, (or do they know of anyone) who has a drive within walking distance of the railway station, which they would consider renting out during the day, e.g. between 8 and 6? Cheers...

There is a car park in town (around the railway village that only charges about £3 for a 24hr stay I think.....I'm sure that's what it says on the sign

cheers, will check it out, but fear its too good to be true. The station car parks are extortionate nowadays.
request for renting still stands mind...

Somerset. It's about 10 miles from Yeovil train station, but the bus links are very good.

The one on Bristol Street is probably your best bet. I've parked there before no problems. I think it's just cheap because it's a mini trek from the station and the town centre

yeah, cheers reeves and p2p, went there this morning. £3 for 24hrs is pretty bloody good value. They do monthly permits as well so even better value. It used to be an ncp and was about 5-6 per day (and was always empty) but appears to have been taken over by someone else now. Was packed so fair play to them, good business move. Cheers lads. ps. apologies for starting possibly one of the dullest threads ever.

The council does monthly permits for pay and display and you can use it in North Star. About £110 a month if I remember correctly.
