When did you sign the new contract JFW?

They should have phoned Vodafone for a PAC on your behalf really, sounds like a rubbish service.

Oh I think I understand now, you ordered over the phone.

It sounds like O2 haven't processed the contract yet, maybe it's not been sent to them until the phone is sent out to you.

eugh I just got through to CPWH - The girl I spoke to was thick as pigshit and I just hung up on her as she was frustrating me with her stupidity - basically the girl who sold me the phone lied to me about how long it would take to change my number across - she told me I could have it all done before the phone arrived but thats not true!!

I am really really regreting switching over at the moment  Crying

Well you can do that but they have to do the PAC code before they even send the phone.

It'll only take a couple of days to swap the numbers round and you can continue using your old phone until then, I think you're making more of an issue of it than it's worth. Wait until O2 charge you for internet usage despite having unlimited access and then trying to get them to refund you Smiley

Phones4U in Swindon have surprisingly good customer service. I'd recommend them to anyone if you didn't go direct to manufacturer.

You need to activate the iPhone through iTunes and until you do that the account and contract won't start.

Wait until O2 charge you for internet usage despite having unlimited access and then trying to get them to refund you Smiley

Haven't had any problems with that but even using my iPhone heavily I only average around 250Mb and their "fair usage" is 1Gb or more. You'd have to be doing some really heavy shit to get close to their limit.

Never had to deal with O2 customer service. I did have a problem with it when I first got it but they have a special number for iPhone's, which I'm guessing is run by Apple as it was really good.

Don't move to O2.  They are useless. Get everything wrong.  even something a simple as your personal details.  I am still MR Lucy Bird on my bills and any o2 correspondance to my house, even though I have changed it myself online and asked them EVERYTIME I speak to them about something.

I didn't go over my usage, they didn't put any free bolt on within my tariff, despite it saying on my contract in black and white that I get free mobile internet as a bolt on.

After trying to resolve the issue they argued I had signed up for unlimited texts and it took a very pissed off phone call from phones4u to put them in their place. When I wasn't refunded for these costs I phones O2 again and asked for a refund. They said they changed me from unlimited texts to internet as 'a gesture of goodwill when phones4u contacted them'. Fortunately they'd charged a similar amount for texts the previous month to the internet charges so I asked for those back instead. Fuckers.

I have been with 02 for 6-7 years.  I have had a lot of issues with them, but after a few emails (I try not to call them) they always sort it out.  Best thing to do is do it over emails, you have proof of what you and they have said, BUT always keep the emails, they come in useful if they try to back track!

How ironic that a fucking phone company can't deal with stuff on the phone.

You have to pay by direct debit.

Don't get a Sony Ericsson C905.

Have to agree with Si on this one, had my C905 since the end of Feb, and it has been back for repair twice, and had nothing but trouble with it. Its a shit phone.

Going to run the contract down on it, and then renew my contract and upgrade to an iphone which Vodaphone have just announced will be availiable on their network. Only another 10 months to go!!
