they had a massive perception issue with Vista though, there is nothing wrong with vista really however large companies and a large install base are still on XP Pro, they needed to release something which actually gives them reasons to upgrade. |

You are right in saying that most companies haven't upgraded to Vista from XP becasue of its perception, but Microsoft are forcing thier hand by withdrawing support for XP, so the coice will be Vista or Windows 7.
Because Vista has a bad reputation (not justified in my oppinion), most companies are looking at skipping it and going to 7, but will sait until SP1 is available.
