Should the unthinkable happen I've heard from a couple of sources that Reading have an option to buy back Cox at the price they sold him for.

Has anyone else heard anything similar?

Well I did make it up, but I was unaware of it being April Fools Day.

Maybe this is an exaggeration and more than likely fiction, but everyone seems to be so wound up about getting £Xm for Cox when we don't even know what sort of clauses are in the contract. I think PaulD summed it up quite well in another thread.

Of course, should there not be any such clause we'll be lucky to get anything above £1m after incentives if we go down this year. I'm more worried about relegation at the moment rather than how much we're going to sell Cox or Morrison for. One thing at a time.

US President Barack Obama will travel to Eastbourne Borough's Blue Square Premier game against Ebbsfleet on Saturday, in order to watch his cousin Achtog Laprifolo play for Borough. (Eastbourne official website)

The other worry is that Coxy knowing he's got a 2 million transfer in the bag (and a 300% pay rise) might not want to risk getting injured for the rest of the current season, or even, getting puffed out!
I know how negative that sounds but I bet that's popped up in everybodies minds.

You might see that with some prima donnas, but i dont think we would with Cox.

The funny thing is I thought the Alan Shearer becoming Newcastle manager was a Giant April Fool Hoax.  Cheesy

Its not in the bag though, its all rumour and he is being watched - surely that would want to make him impress?  Could work in our favour.

Coxy is not afraid to get stuck in. That's what I like about the bloke, he tackles like a midfielder at times.

Problem is the midfielder is Paul Scholes. Lots of gusto and heart, but he scares the life out of me when he dives in.
