They are just mad over there. I'm sure there will be an ICC ban on playing in Pakistan now! Got to be?

India and Australia pulled out of their tours over safety fears after what happened in Mumbai. Its pretty mad some of the stuff that goes on over here, pretty crazy cultures!

Its a real shame for Pakistani cricket, there will not be another test for years held there now. Sri Lanka took a long time deciding wether to go to Pakistan and gave the go ahead after pakistan had been supportive of Sri Lanka though its chequered past.
The extremists look like they have most definatly won this round, however in a cricket mad nation like Pakistan I reckon there could be one hell of a backlash.

Don't forget at the end of last year England along with South Africa and the Aussies refused to play in the Champions Trophy due to security concerns in Pakistan, despite the ICC that there would be no problems, and look who turned out to be right.Ironically, Sri Lanka only toured Pakistan as replacements for India, who refused to go.
I can see the IPL being severely damaged as well after today, due to the attacks in India less than 6 months ago, there should be very few players who will want to play cricket in India/Pakistan at this moment despite the money involved.

No fucker is going to play in Pakistan for the foreseeable, and Mex is right that's going to really piss off a sizeable chunk of the population. Why the hell the Islamists thought this would be some sort of propaganda coup for them I don't know.

A close friend's uncle was injured during this attack. He is okay from what I can understand, somewhat lucky if anything as the attack could have been a lot worse.

from what ive read, the only driver that was killed was the driver of the pakistani coach, numerous websites have quoted the sri lankan team were saved by him as he carried on driving once he had been shot/injured and died at the ground - fair play to him putting himself last,he should get a knighthood. pakistan world cup is under doubt, australia saying they want to play pakistan in england next year...pakistan cricket is not going to recover to at least a decade.
