The 260's are fucking great graphics cards, and a lot lot better than the 4870 in real terms but they will come down in price hugely in the next 3 months as Nvidia and ATI are both bringing out new GPU's.

The 260 will come down to around £140 by then I recon.

I know there's the 55nm chips out in Jan but i wasn't expecting them to drop in price by almost £100

If you shop around recently you could get 260's for as low as £185 for the one with 8 less cores, there has been a press release from Nvidia stating they are lowering the 260 to compete fairly and squarely with the 4870.

This time last year an 8800GT was £170 now they can be had for £90. Moores Law and all that.
