Sounds a good place to start the day off.  Know any decent pubs near Hampden worth getting in before/after kick off Will (not city centre).

Counting House on George square...

I read that quickly and thought you'd typed 'Cunting House'.

Just out of interest, where will you be doing your drinking in Glasgow?

I remember doing something similar when I was at university.  Must have been in 1995.  Realising one Friday night that I had a spare weekend on my hands, I caught the coach up to London in time to get the midnight coach to Newcastle.  Arrived in Newcastle at 7am Saturday morning, beers, Metro to Sunderland, watched us lose and all but confirm a second successive relegation (in the rain on an open terrace...the conga figured somewhere which, in retrospect, was a bit camp), Metro back to Newcastle, more beer, late coach back to London where I arrived back at my girlfriend's flat in Hackney at 6am on Sunday.  As you can imagine, she was delighted to see me.
I was at that game, think I may have just dried out!!

Going back to the fairness point, I think more "events" tickets should be allocated in this way.  Why is it vitally important for the first come first served model to be followed all the time.  Why doesn't the Glasto organiser say, okay you have 1 month (may be February) to register for tickets (you can only use your card details and address details once), then once that month is up there's a random ballot and 140,000 people are the lucky owners of 2009 Glasto weekend tickets.

Much better than website crashing all the time, nice chilled out way of doing things.

The shed is usually quite good pre match, its not too far from hampden. Pandora's was quite good when I used to go in there, but it gets pretty rammed and therefore getting served is a nightmare. post-match, you are better getting back into town ASAP.

Well next weekend I'm setting myself up for a massive fall, after just striking lucky in the ballot for Scotland tickets!

2000 Friday leave Swindon on National Express

0715 Saturday arrive in Glasgow

You've got time for some good coach drinking in there.

**bump**

Well what I weekend, I must admit I thought I'd made a massiver mistake when this fat asian chap (who stank) say next to me on the bus up to lasgow, but it was worth it.  Quality day, reat atmosphere, just my luck that Iwelumo could stick the ball in the net from a yard out!!  I thouht it was in (as did thousands of others).

Got back at 10 this morning after sleeping all the way from Glasgow to London.  Glasgow's great btw, would recommend it for a night out, if you're up that way.
