Is it just me or do other people use it to describe something bad? Eg "Chirst I been stuck on hold for ages. How gay!

I would think that using it in that sort of context could be quite offesvice to a shit stabber but can anyone confirm, I don't know any poo passage pirates so can't ask?

I did read somewhere that gay people have taken to spelling gay gaay to sperate the two uses! now that is gay!
