Raking over old ground here but he's departing Shrewbury in the summer in search of pastures new.

23 which will mean that there may be a tribunal fee to settle if he's picked up.

Only 8 goals this season which is not great but has suffered from a few injuries and has a good track record breaking the 15 goal mark for the past 3 seasons.

Not an inspirational signing especially when compared to the Parkin but it's going it's going to be back to earth with a bump next season.  Think we have to face facts what with the wage bill and all and even then the likes of Rodgers may be out of reach.  Sort of player that does what it says on the tin.

King has looked at him before he had that bad break.

When we won Div 2 in 95/96 Finney and Allison bagged somewher in the region of 15 goals a peice.  If we can scrape a stike force capable of that we wont be in too bad shape.  I'd liken Rogers to a Finney anyway - so maybe worth a shot, but I doubt it.

We had Horlock scoring for fun from midfield in that season, paralells with Grant smith next season if he signs?

Thats the most optimistic STFC related post I've made for at least a month
