What is actually happening.
Saw the first Advert report this evening...to depressing to continue.
An hour later ....things seem to have changed.
Please, someone who is sober...please tell me what is happening  ???

This could only happen at Swindon...

basically

fitton made an offer, take it or leave it

the board sent him an amended offer

they all discussed it

Its still not signed, the latest deadline is monday

Well fitton was due to attend the game today, however he ended up not going.

The board emailed him a copy of the deal which had 3 amendments made to it, fitton said one was negotiable and the other was a deal breaker, he contacted the board and obviously negotiated with them.

Now we are led to believe that the takeover could be completed on monday and fitton installed as chairman, fitton goes away at 10am this morning so i presume a member of the consortium will sign the contract on monday or it will be emailed/faxed to fitton on monday and he will sign it.

I'm not getting my hopes up yet though as diamandis/wills track record with takeover's is a joke.

He's apparently said there have been "positive talks" this evening. But he's been saying that all week.

As DV says, new deadline is Monday

Fitton said the deadline was 10am this morning when he goes away, he did clearly say that if it was not done before then he would walk away, now the deadline is monday, we know if it's not done monday then that really is it, i'm still not confident Fitton has come out with the positive talks alot recently and nothing has happened.

i don't think the adver, especially andy cryer, are in the business of making up quotes.

A guy on thisis called Forever_STFC has said that the FA will become involved on tuesday if this is not completed, with rumours like this on the internet i take it with a pinch of salt because it could just be a wind up, if it's true then wills/diamandis better hurry the fuck up and sell.

This is worse than the Forsyth saga..
If the proposed takeover does take place...I really hope that Fitton is the man to take Swindon forward...cos this load of bollocks is getting to me...

Am i right or wrong in thinking that the deal has to be agreed before Fitton goes away this morning and then it has to be signed on monday? Or is monday the deadline to agree on a deal? It's just Fitton did say it had to be done before he goes away.
