Didn't you come up with a zombies on a train idea? It could be like Snakes on a plane, but with zombies and a train.

I might have done, I can't remember if that was me or someone else. I like my new idea better, it could have a scene with zombies on a train. Oh and a scene where somebody gets to kill Jesus.

My idea for a film revolves around The Rapture happening and all the holy good people getting sucked up by god. Of course the group of friends in their local enjoying a pint of beer when it happens don't notice at first, neither does most of the world. But with the forces of heaven and hell setting up ranks for their apocalyptic battle on earth, the group put aside their differences and create a third side. Fighting for humanity.

It needs some fleshing out, but it's got room for stuff like rivalries and people putting aside their differences and the black bloke dying first and a crazy monk type who guides them (this can be fatbury).

Unintentionally I suppose it's sort of a cross between Shaun of the Dead and Dogma.

Which are both very good films.

Jesus has already died once! He's such a bloody show off. I like your idea, but it sounds big budget.

Could be made cheaper by lots of people agreeing to work for free.

Oooh the gay character could be tempted to change sides by his catholic grandmother. that would be a good bit of soap opera style drama. His catholic grandmother who looked after him whilst he was growing up from the age of 9. This writes itself. He can be called Frank.

Losing a fight against the forces of heaven, the gang and numerous of their new followers have holed themselves up in a brewery. Suddenly the ghostly image of Frank's Gran appears

Frank: Gran! You're a ghost, you're not dead are you?

Frank's Gran: No Frank, I'm more alive than I've ever been, I come to you like this to talk to you.

Frank: Wh...wha..

Gran: You turned you back away from the church Frank, I tried to bring you up right, and you were always a good boy, but... It's not too late Frank. You can join us again. Feel the love of Jesus flow over you Frank. Leave these people and come back to us.

Frank (stuttering with emotion/tears): N..N..No Gran. You always looked after me, even when mum and d..dad.... went away and I love you. But... you never accepted me Gran. You knew how I was, how I was different, and you ignored it. Pretended that if it wasn't there then it would go away. I had to cope, growing up knowing I was different Gran. Do you know how hard it was. These people have accepted me for who I am (glances look at Jim), they don't care that I'm g..gay.... (short pause)

...This is wrong Gran, making people be one thing or another. Your holy side isn't any better than the other one, with their demons and fire. No Gran, I'm choosing to be me, and that means staying with my friends. Because doing that is also who I am, and I think it's worth fighting for.

Frank's Gran turns away in sadness and walks away. Frank pours himself an Archers with Lemonade and drinks it quickly, before looking around to his friends. Who smile, especially Jim

Jim is Frank's gay love interest by the way.

I think I might have switched a bit quickly from emotional to "let's go gang" in Frank's speech.

you should have a another gay character who feels alienated by the gay couple and secretly fancies Frank and wants Jim to get killed by a vengeful 'Franks Gran'

It's a possibility, but I'd want Frank's struggle with his Gran to be an emotional one. Until some crazy battle happens and he has to really choose.  Also I think that 2 gay characters is enough, I don't want it to turn into Gay Sex and the City vs. The Apocalypse.

fb, this sounds great...and for a character who turns to Satan you could have AC/DC Highway to Hell playing.
