4. Accept that international games are fast games and sack anyone who dawdles with the ball as opposed to playing it.

Michael Carrick was shockingly awful last night and was robbed of the ball while walking a couple of times. He reminds me of Christian Roberts occasionally - flashes of brilliance in a melee of laziness.
Hopefully if Hargreaves gets fit, Carrick will never play again.

Alan Smith is not an international striker - FACT!

Carragher's recent attitude speaks volumes I think about the sort of players we have currently in the England pecking order.

Agree with PLagirist.  The most exciting team to watch hardly ever has an English player and the 2 best rely heavily on a couple of foreign properly world class players.

Richards could have it all but it wouldn't suprise me to see him go on to pick up the same approach to it all.

Why the fuck did he he put our most attacking player first half at centre half .wes brown is equally as shit at right back as he is at centre half so it would not have made a difference.

Oh and stop picking defoe, sven never played him and mclaren chose dyer instead of him last night so whats the point?

1. Play players in the positions they play for their clubs.

2. Pick players based on current form, not because they did a job 2
    years ago.

3. Play in the style that they are used to, ie: fast tempo, attacking
football like the premiership, instead of employing some continental,
    defensive bollocks.

I've really lost interest in the England team, it's becoming a bit of a joke.........

Yes

My thoughts exactly and i believe i said the same thing some time ago when frustrated at Ericsson.

Someone needs to do exactly that.

People seem to have decided our team is crap all of a sudden, and once again it is the media who are to blame. Okay we're not going to win the next World Cup, but if people played in the right positions and we looked interested we would get much better results than at present.

You can't complain about Alan Smith playing - He had a choice of Owen, Crouch, Smith and Defoe. And Crouch is suspended for the next game. As it happens I thought Smith did okay - his job wasn't to go out there and score a hat-trick.
