The Portugese are actually the love children of a Swindon railway engineer who went over to Portugal to work on their railways.

He promised their mother he would return, but was tragically killed in a aeroplane crash.

Their mother brought them up as Swindon fans (Which is what he would have wanted) and, after clawing their way up from poverty to become the millionaires they are, they wanted to put something back into the club their father supported with such passion.

How about that Reg? Cheesy

But where does Rufus Brevett fit into this?    Its no good just being selective you need to see the whole picture.

He's the grandson of the long lost uncle and the cook who worked in the big house on their sugar plantation in Brazil ... where they made their money

I'm not sure such accusations against Rufus are politically correct......
