They get the chance to waste far more money in fairness.

But yes, friendlies are a total wate of time and money from the fans' prespective. I used to go to loads back in the day (although back then it was only about £2 to get into the likes of Devizes, Fairford, Trowbridge etc) I could not be arsed now though.

That was exactly my point. It is a pointless game in the fact it means nothing. But it's going to be an ace bit of pointlessness, a good laugh

And funnily enough what's the charity/community shield meant to be for?
