Dude I remember that, the vortex thing was excellent, used to scare me a little bit, the thought of stepping into it  and ending up in space forever...

That was superb.  

Used to be one of those shows that I never knew when it was on but used to stuble upon it every now and again.

That plant used to unerve me a tad as well.  I think they had to bring it a gift at the end and if it was pissed off it would just zap the fookin lot of them.  I always remember some woman (think it was Wincy Willis) bringing it arm bands. Zzzap she went.

The Vortex at the end was the best bit. We could see where it was but they couldn't. Agree Jan, it was a bit scary.

Broadcast from 1980-86, so I'd have only been 6-12yo at the time.
