I found this peice earlier when reading about Dagenham and thought this is how our players should be talking but sadly they are not:

Since he came in we have been steadily rebuilding and the club is run professionally on and off the pitch.

"He is getting his rewards now. The players we have are hungry, fit and strong. We have a spirit now where we go out and we don't think we are going to get beaten.

"I can't see the lads giving it up now. They are looking so strong off the pitch too as a unit. They want success and I think they are going to get it."

Wouldn't it be nice to hear our players talking like this !!

If we won it then i'd say it was the best decision/gamble that they have taken with our club.......HOWEVER I severely doubt we would win the playoffs and secondly I can not see how this sort of a conspiracy is even possible.
Sturrock is NOT the kind of man who would allow such things to take place....he'd walk.....and he is showing no signs whatsoever of doing that - he is commited to going up automatically - the only question is whether his ideas and tactics are going to work.

I'm with him on this one though and think we will make third spot if not second come May (we wont be champion though IMO)

Ive no doubt that Sturrock has ambitions to stay here long term (3 or 4 seasons). But theres plenty of clubs in League 1 with much bigger budgets than us who would like Paul Sturrock.

I think Sturrock is finding out what we already knew. That the attitude of the players who got us relegated last season, and are still with us now was/is/continues to be awful. Im pleased that he is totally uncompromising and slags the players off in public. Because some of them have shit for brains.

On the other hand, getting stuck in this league is not an option. Average attendances next season would be around 4000 and we'd be in trouble.

Agree with most of that spence....not sure about the 4000 though!
This might all be academic anyway if the cva is not paid.
