Why is our online club shop so appalling? there seems to be hardly any merchandise on there , on most categories it says there are no products, i bet there is a hell of alot more stuff in the club shop than whats listed on that crappy online store. How are us town fans up north able to buy merchandise if the online shop hardly lists anything? everything that is sold in the club shop should be listed on the online store. the club need to sort it out!!! Also when i emailed them a few times it came back failed which means they have got rid of their email address!!!

It used to be ok but now it just seems awful, if the club want to make money then they should keep it upto date and list all the products, there are hardly any products on there at all, i would happily buy quite alot of merchandise but i can't when there is hardly anything to order, i think the club should do something about this asap.

It's really bad compared to 99% of other online shops.

Fair play they are not Amazon, but they would make sooooo much more money if they could sort it out a bit better.

I've placed orders before for 'available' stock, only to have them call me a week later to say actually there was no available stock for that item, and they'd refund the money to my card - they'd already cashed in the cheque so to speak. Now they must lose that 2.5% a time in credit card charges.

It unfortunately is yet another symbol of the piss-poor amateur job this football club is.

Totally agree with that, other club's online shops are a million times better, agree with the stock issue too they should update it properly and make sure stock that is not available is either not listed on the site or says sold out, i have had the stock problem with them before. It must be one of the worst online shops in the football league, i agree that they would make alot more money if they sorted it out.

To be fair, isn't the online shop outsourced (ie not under the club's control how good/bad it is)?

If it is - then it needs to be changed to a new company

That might be true Paul, but by outsourcing the club are trusting someone else to deliver the service for them.  If things aren't good enough, and even the collective incapability of the regime must be able to see that, then the club must take responsibility.  In the world of additional income streams, where a significant number of the clubs fans live outside teh borough, you'd think a means of buying merchandise remotely would offer the potential to make some decent money.

They keep banging on about additional revenue streams. How about improving the current revenue streams as well?

I gave up a while ago on the online shop.  Last time I looked half the links were dead and the stock pictured a few seasons old.

I was after one of the drill tops and a few bits of tat, mugs and the like but no one ever responded to my emails so I gave up.

Must be nearly 10 years ago now  :old:  but the club used to produce a very professional  mail order catalogue that was sent out a couple of times a season off a mailing list.  With the official site requiring full registration it’s a wonder that the club don’t make use of that database of potential customers.  Other club sites I’ve registered at seem to spam every other day with offers.

Sums up the state of affairs really.    :|

With all these "marketing" people involved at the club, you would presume someone would be looking at what the club is selling. Why the club can't produce DVDs of games (which surely would appeal to fans abroad) maybe have a DVD subscription service where people subscribe like a magazine to the matches.

With ebay and the like they should be getting rid of the tired dusty tat which is spread out to make the club shop look like it's well stocked. It's our 125 aniversary season and what's for sale? Fridge Magnets, Ice Cube keyrings! and (Just for the ban) Ashtrays.

 There seemed to be more energy in the club in the 80's when people seemed to care about the club with a friendly attitude and trying to make money by being more innovative.  We're having our most successful season in getting on for 10 years, and it all just seems a sad reflection of the dull throb of the plastic property profiteers which seem unable to do anything but drive our club into mediocrity
