no men on the posts? not particularly happy with it myself. Reckon a man of the line would have got their first - tactics all well and good IF you use the numerical advantage in the middle, but otherwise its rubbish!

The first goal came because
a) Heywood was better in the air than anyone on the pitch. Not much you can do about that .
b) We didn't defend his header into the box. This is where we were sloppy.

Heywood may have won the first header - we all know how strong he is in the air - he won virtually every hedaer in the first half.
What pissed me off was how the second header from the goalscorer was completely unchallenged and unmarked.
It looped over Smith and would have been an easy clearance for the man on the line.

i think it's safe to assume that whatever the players do at set pieces is precisely what the management want them to do. that applies to every individual player.
the players practiced setpieces for a good half an hour last night before the game and have done the same before all the home games so far.

I think that the fact we ignored the 6 foot 4 centre back that used to play for us when he came up for set pieces worried me far more than having men on the posts
