I'm surprised he lasted this long....I first saw the Floyd in 69, just after Syd left, but his influence was still in the early stuff which I liked eg Astronomy Domine...and  Piper at the Gates of Dawn stuff.

   Got both of the solo albums...with their charming quirky songs on....not listened to them for years.

 RIP Syd.

It bugs me a bit that all the tributes have been Floyd songs on R2-esp SOYCD.Why not not play some of his solo stuff?Like Dark Globe for instance

Agreed.  Should be playing songs featuring him, not about him.  Could be a bit "progressive" for R2 though!
