This time its happened to poor lovely Matthew Hoggard, and its not looking good for the first test against Pakistan which starts this Thursday Crying
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/england/5163300.stm

The squad for Thursday is
Strauss;Tres;Cook;KP;Collingwood;Bell;Jones;Plunkett;Hoggard;
Harmison;Lewis;Panesar;Mahmood.

Bell deserves his recall,but the bowling without Fred and possibly without Hoggy is going to be the weak point again i fear.At least Harmy is back  Smiley And it isn't a ODI so the wide rule isn't so hard :roll:

i think we're okay with the bat, it's just the bowling.

mahmood is rubbish, not sure why they're bothering to persue with him.

glad to see monty back Cool

Monty was always going to return for the test side Beers
I agree the bowling does look dodgy,no Fred, possible no Hoggy,can't think its going to be easy Sad Mahmood isn't a bad player in tests at least,of course Jimmy Anderson is out too,he would be there if he was fit.

Will these injuries never end :boohoo:

stop crying about the injuries Larwood

But its true,our injuries have been awful,Vaughan,Jones,Giles,Freddie and now Hoggard Sad
I agree a bit with what you say about a downward curve happening after the joy of winning the Ashes,lest we forget the lack of injuries and all the winning test series prior to last summer,BUT i believe we do have a bit of an excuse for us being to shit due to all the sodding injuries Crying

you moan about our bowling being bad and in the same sentence wanted to bring dalrymple in for panesar. jd's gonna be a good odi pl;ayers but he's never going to take wickets in tests he's just not aggressive (or good) enough
