If you count 1986, I think Carlisle have 5.

Well I'm taking the last 20 years to include the 85/86 season..

Cardiff are another club who yo-yo'd between L1 and 2 for a while...Plymuff may have had a few too.

Can't really be arsed to check it.... few :guinness: last night.

I don't think anyone can beat us on that score!

It's amazing to think that over the last 20 odd seasons when we've been here there and everywhere, there are clubs around like Rochdale, who have not moved out of the bottom division.  I don't think they've even been involved in any last day of the season 'must win to stay in the league' ding dong doos!

I say clubs like Rochdale, but they are probably about the only club to have remained in the bottom league for all that time

Rochdale were relegated to Div 4 in 1974 and have remained there ever since. From 1974 to 1990 they finished in the bottom half every season and have been in the play-offs only once I think; losing to Rushden and Diamonds 5-4 on aggregate in 2001-02.

So I'd much prefer what we've been through and have promotions and relegations rather than remain in the same league for 30+ yrs with not much hope of getting promoted.
