can't afford them any more so...

going back to rollies, which I actually prefer. Laziness involving filters probably makes them pretty bad for me. Less smoking due to having to roll may make up for it.

Less chemicals in those bad boys, ben.  Cigerettes you get about two puffs and they're out.  Use filters though!

I do when I have them, but I normally forget. It's also another added anoyance, especially with the classic rizla problem, ie. there are always hundreds of packs kicking around until you actually need one. Having to deal with filters exponentialy increases that problem. I can demonstrate using my mathimatical theory.

R = probablility of finding a rizla under normal circumstances. 0 <= R <= 1
F = probability of finding filters under normal circumstances.  0 <= F <= 1
S = how much you want a rollie. S >= 1. 1 = minimum need
C = probablility of finding a complete rollie.

C = R/S * F/S

(* = multiplication)

See it's a big problem. For example if your smoking needs = 3. and your probablilty of finding rizla and filters is 0.9 you get..

C = 0.9/3 * 0.9/3
= 0.3 * 0.3
= 0.09
less than 10%!!

You always need the rizla/filter, you just need it more when you haven't got one Cheesy

The theory is an attempt to equestionalise the fact that just before I'm heading to tesco's I'll spot 3-4 packs of rizla kicking around on my desk/floor, but when I come back with the required tobacco they seem to have disappeared and require a major search effort to find.

Infact I'll alter it to make it a time based theory.

C = time required to make a ciggerette.

T = time that would be required if you didn't have any baccy

other stuff is still the same.

C = T * 1/(R/S * F/S)

so with the same data put in before

C = 11.11T

so roughly 11ish times as long to roll a cigarette.

Although that's an unfair conclusion. You have to take into account the fact you'll need rizlas anyway...

C= T * 1/(R/S)

with our previous data.

C= 3.33T

So to conclude, 11.11 / 3.33 coincedelnly = 3.33 (3 1/3), meaning that if I bother with filters then it will take me 3 1/3 more time to find required rollie materials. Of course I'd extend the theory to say that the time will reduce with concurrent cigarettes, but that's a little more advanced.

Of course my thoery unfairly exagerates low odds with the reciprical(sp? 1/). This can be fixed by putting an upper limit on the desire for a fag (S) and maybe replaceing the 1/ with a 1+. Also factors such as drunkeness should be taken into acocund as they will obviously increase amount of time taken to find stuff, this would cancel itself out in the rizla only senario, but of course multiply out in the rizla and filter picture.

Luckily I can't be arsed anymore.

i'm off smoking too, decided i need to lay off the green until after exams. its quite hard, as i've been smoking filterless and so am definitely addicted to nicotine.

i tried cutting down but that was no use, its cold turkey or chuff away.
