Blinkpip - are you using service pack 2?

There is actually just an option straight from the tools menu to manage add-ons in Internet explorer.

no, I don't usually bother with the windows updates anymore. As I re formatted my harddrive back in November. (and it seems faster when I didn't have service pack 2.)

I take it I should allow windows updates then.

It's up to you. It's probably the reason it's stopped working, but you shouldn't have to have it.

I get this error message when view details of fault.

You've encountered error message C00D10B5 while using Windows Media Player. Additional information is not currently available for this error.

That should do it then. I did wonder if it was a connection error.

I think it's connecting to the net now. As it the guide tab wouldn't open before.
But I still got the problem that it still won't play anything online.

Some more questions then:

Do you use internet explorer for the internet or firefox?

Have you got a firewall?

Open internet explorer and go to the file menu and uncheck 'work offline' if it is checked.

Your WMP settings are the same as mine so look ok
