Just watched the 5-1 Germany v England highlights on Sky Sports Classic. Did anyone from here go to the game? Must have been an amazing experience!

i had a half german girlfriend at the time. She cheered when germany scored the whole pub went silent. sent her home sortly after that! then the local tv ariel was taken down by protesters(fuck knows what they where protesting about but it wasn't a good way of getting support) so we had to go up and watch it in the landlords louge (he had sky). we had about 35 people crammed into this little room, they just brought tray after tray of drinks, was mental!!

Wish I had been there, but watching it on TV was good enough.

Even Heskey looked a good player that night.

Lets not forget that the German side out that night were probably one of the worst teams they've had in years.

2001, my mates birthday, we all sat drinking at a BBQ in the garden with the massive TV in the patio doors so we could watch.  The same day Razor scored that belting free kick against Southend.

They weren't shite - they were better than England at the time (although evidentally not)

Anyway they were 1-0 up and easily won the first 10 minutes of the game...
