I would have settled for that prior to kick off.

Preston's next game is Fleetwood away
MK home to Doncaster  - neither of which are gimme's Hmmm

Nice to see the 'highly rated' Michael Appleton working his magic again as well...

Thing is mate so much still to play for as 2 play off places are still up for grabs and relegation is no way decided. Teams are going to be up for it at least until mid to late April.
As for Agent Appleton he is doing a magnificent job. They are simply on fire at present.

As for the Poolies they are a wonderful club. One of my favourite places to visit.
Always had a crack with their fans. Now in touching distance and hope they stay up.
Unbelievable Jeff.

That's Preston's game in hand gone and we're just a win behind.

It's going to be shit or bust at Deepdale, isn't it.

Hope something is still riding on that game and we take a few up there.
Already booked my train tickets for me and my boys.
Fair play to Barnsley today that could have been severe if Thor had won.

Going to Hartlepool is like going to a non-league Club. And believe me, as some one who has seen a LOT of non league football over the years and genuinely loves it, that comment is meant 100% as a compliment. It has a great feel to it. What's their Club bar called? The Corner Flag? As you say, great people. Truly 'the salt of the earth'.

As for Jeff - He was at his best today - Absolutely hillarious - gotta love him...

OST thanks for posting that made me smile.
I used to love the pub on the quayside. Changed hands now but before was run by a Hartlepool fan and lots of their fans used to get in it before the game.
Remember leaving the pub and walking to the ground with a few of them.
As you said salt of the earth that lot.
HA'WAY Hartlepool.

We shouldnt worry too much about MK as long as we beat them in a few weeks and win our games in hand on them.

Still think its going to the wire with at least 2 or maybe all 3 teams.

Just got in after spending the day in Cheltenham with family and meeting my gorgeous new nephew (and future Swindon fan).  So haven't read through the thread.  But that Barnsley goal was massive!

As one of my brothers wisely pointed out today, all it needs is for Preston to draw a few games...and we're back in the driving seat (so long as we win ours, obviously).  They don't even need a catastrophic loss of form - just some poor luck or some feisty opposition.

Will finish by smugly re-posting something from yesterday.

I have a sneaking suspicion that the promotion race still has a few chapters to go, and that Preston's supposed march towards 2nd place will not be as inevitable as the last 6 weeks or so have suggested it might be.

Safe to say, it's going to be as tight as one of these...

I'm not that worried about MK. We're fighting for second. They're fighting for finishing 3rd. For MK to finish second they'd need Preston to lose almost every game left.

We're 100% focussed on Preston, or at least I am.
