Ali Dia.....wasn't actually a relation...he got in touch with Graeme Souness and acted as Weah, he stated he was an International footballer and that he was a relation to George Weah....on that, Souness signed him before seeing him play!

Christopher Wreh, was allegedly a cousin of George Weah, certainly the only Double winner, to be turning out for Bishop Stortford Town, within 5 years....I suspect George might have had an extensive family.

Joe Baker was one of the leading strikers in the old first division in the 60s playing for Arsenal and Forest and enjoyed a career highlight v the Town.

In 1966-67 he was new at Forest and helped them to a runners up spot against the Man Utd which went on to win the European Cup the following season.

That season, Swindon had despatched the Hammers of Hurst, Moore and Peters in the FA Cup and then forced a second replay against Joe Baker's Forest.

It was third time lucky for Joe as he scored in the third game when Town were eventually despatched in front of 50,000 at Villa Park

Missed that in your post.

It was either that or there are more Boatengs out there, which is highly likely.

We drew 0-0 at Forest and I think that was the match the Don missed a one on one (which in his case, unlike Andy Williams, was memorable), then we drew with a late equaliser at the County Ground before being dicked 3-0 in the 2nd replay. Forest went out in the SFs.  Listened to the first match on the radio - pre internet and good reception!

As far as I recall we were beaten fair and square...Forest had a decent side, the likes of Ian Storey-Moore, John Barnwell and Frank Wignall.  They beat Everton in the 6th round, before losing to Spurs in the semi, who went on to win it...Frank Saul anyone. Forest were runners up that year, so we were doing well to take them to a third game.
