So basically, like most clubs we've pushed our budget right to the limits and the only reason this has happened is because the board didn't forsee the FL asking for all the money up front for the tribunal fees and this is quite an easy situation to resolve.... right?

With the greatest of respect to the board, how can you predict we would get to R4 of the cup as a minimum?

Surely it would make sense to budget for first round cup exits away from home, then anything over and above is a bonus. At least if you privately state to PDC we have to finish x in league and reach round 2 of each cup, then there is a target to work to.

I think that this will be the latest forecast for this season, they wouldn't be forecasting from the start that they would be in the 4th round.

It looks like they have to reforecast every month or two as they actually brought this to the FA's attention from what JW said.  Also it states in the link below that the forecast will be updated through out the season.

It also states that it is only player wages that count towards the 65%, so why would the transfer fees for the players be included in the 65%?

It would appear that tranny fees paid accrue the same towards the % of your budget alongside wages.

Is this sort of thing going to be introduced in the Premiership/Championship? Because it should be.

According to JW several other clubs are either under, or about to be put under, the same embargo for the same reasons!  Any thoughts as to whom?

I can perhaps understand now why Wray was getting so exercised about the Villa game not being on Sky.
Possibly the additional income that brought in would have made the latest forecast figures tip us on the right side of the 65% line rather than just outside.

Should be easy enough to find out. Their managers will be bound to mention it in their post-match comments. Oh wait...

It's an absolute joke, time and time again we are victimised by the FA and we all lie down and take it.  It's high time we started speaking up against a corrupt body who punishes a club twice, first by over-charging us for Collins and Troy, and then by deliberately bumping us over the wage threshold and whacking a transfer embargo on us.  Our squad is tiny for this level, and Paolo is managing on bare bones as it is, without further obstacles being placed in our way.

The whole league is against us, we are too big for this league, let's begin a seige mentality.
