They may do, but if you loan somebody out does it have to be for a minimum period. i.e 6 months like the Cox transfer?

I think most people thought QPR would recall him after the twelve games so the FA said they would only sanction any deal (not just Fleetwood) if he stayed for a minimum of 6 months. Guess it all seemed a bit pointless then.

See Ryan Nelson has been given his short number. Never a good sign.

I've always found Barton an interesting player.  Clearly talented, though possibly less than he thinks.  Complete thug - possibly.  Damaged by his upbringing - almost definitely.  Reformed character a number of times, then it comes out again.  He almost seems like a personification of the completely fictitious working class yob that so upsets the Daily Mail (although he isn't black, and isn't an immigrant, so the personification isn't perfect) - in reality he is an under-educated bloke with a temper.

Wow - that post was almost impressively pointless.  I suppose I was actually trying to say that we as fans ultimately know nothing about him.  There is something about books and covers but I've rambled enough and its bedtime.

Total thug who doesn't give a damn who he hurts gets sent to the South of France on full pay for a season.

That is one hell of a punishment!  I bet he is soooo sorry!

I know for a fact that if any of us attacked another person whilst at work we wouldn't be sent out on full pay to Marseille.

The bastard gets away with it again!!

Let's be honest though, what he got punished for was pure handbags yet people ate trying to make it sound like it was attempted murder! Good grief.

100% agree, I didn't see the match live as I was on holiday, heard about the incident and thought great a 21st century Eric Cantona moment, this should be good to catch up on. And when I saw the incident was exactly how you describe it, complete handbags, stirred up by the media, and swallowed by the Sky Sports generation.

I hope Joey goes to France think it'll be the making of him.

Good move for him, gets him out of the limelight a bit.

Similar move worked out well for Joe Cole

Does his ban apply in France or purely England?

Think it depends whether the FA apply to UEFA to uphold it or not.

If it means he fucks off permanently from English football then lift the ban and let the fucker loose on France. No doubt that will legitimise the cheese eating surrender monkeys into unleashing Sangatte 2 on us.

I'm undecided. On the one hand he is an obnoxious little twat who should have been kicked out of the game a long time ago. On the other, it makes great TV - him kicking off on the last day of the season made great viewing.

Handbags, nice to see to someone work a few fucks into the girly twats that play in the PL. Not like he decked em with a single punch is it. However he has done far worse(cigar incident) so is still a cunt

His actions overshadow the fact that the bloke is a decent footballer, if he wasn't so controversial I think he would have had a lot more England caps.
What he done against Man City was never worth a 12 game ban, how he can get a longer ban than Suarez after he has been proven to have said racist remarks is crazy.
The Premier League needs people like Barton before it becomes to boring.
