After watching the special report on holliganism in Ukraine last night on SSN, it was like a throwback to the 70s and 80s here.

No wonder England will have such a small following to the Euros this summer - so much easier pavement dancing here with no chance of getting clumped.

All the 'hard men' that follow English clubs will be noticeable by their absence - pussies!

That programme was awful.  All they could muster was 10 men meeting in the middle of nowhere for a pre arranged fight.  They then filmed skin heads claiming they don’t like foreigners.  Who’d have thought it?  Hardly news.

Secondly, you clearly haven’t been to an England game since circa 2001 if you think that ‘hard men’ travel to big champs. Since Japan it’s just been families and face paint.  Also the claims that only 3,500 are travelling is absolute rubbish.  There will be 10,000 there, just not through the official engalndfans club.  Now don’t get me started on that club.

Watched it, and agree with Jan. They needed to go 20 miles out of town to have a 15 v 20 fight? sounds really hard to me. Once again it's Sky trying to make a story, and one of the most fierce rivalry in football between Kiev and Donesk is policed perfectly then you shouldn't be worried. Instead of Sky praising the obvious work done by the Ukraine police to push any hooligans underground they try to get people worried about a fight between a little group of people on the day when their meant to be at their most agressive.

If England fans are clever they won't get in trouble, if they start trouble there won't be a fight they'll be nicked. But they won't because England don't go around in big numbers looking for fights anymore. Look at the Germany world cup, 1/4 of millions England fans went there and there was 72 arrests? Says everything.

Went to the Ukraine last year for three weeks and I had a great time. You can get a bottle of vodka for £2 and smokes for 12 euros for 200.   Thickasthieves.   Pint

Totally agree with SPW, it's just Sky filling a 30 minute time slot every so often. There's only so many times you can report on a manager turning Liverpool down before you realise that you need a new story.

The BBC made me laugh, their take on it is how violent Poland and the Ukraine are, whilst stating that foreign visitors are being targeted in Poland! I've never had any trouble in Poland and neither have various mates of mine who go over there to watch the Speedway.
