What an incredible life.....bet when being chased by the hun aged 17 ..........110 seemed a long way off!

The US get a lot of stick and rightly so....but this yank deserves eternal credit along with thousands of his countrymen.

Indeed leefer, important to remember their sacrifice - certainly makes many of our gripes and problems seem trivial.

Didn't realise there is evidently now only one surviving soldier who fought in WW1....and a Brit no less...
