Anyone going to this ?

It's a new ground and I have a day off work so think I might go.

Those that have been before, whats the parking like and is there anywhere to get a drink before the game ?

Plenty of parking at the ground.

It's in the middle of nowhere, so no pubs in the vicinity.

Fucking trek and a half this one. It would of been a fantastic day out last year had we won. There are pubs close once you get off the train and the bus to the ground is quite easy to find. You can also get a beer in the ground. Just don't smoke inside the stadium, the poor lad that I gave half my cigarette to in the toilets ended up getting nicked for it, poor cunt.

Didn't go last year, but drove the year before and it was godawful. Missed the turning at the roundabout and ended up 2/3rds the way to Clacton before I could turn. Took and age to get out of the carpark after the game, and I got wet feet as it was underwater. Next time I'll train it there.

Awful ground surrounded by pikey camps. Went last season - took ages to get there and we had one of those "against the run of play" games, ala Rovers last season.

I was so fucking pissed off after that game. They were fucking gash and had an extremely flattering scoreline!

I still have the stats saved! Smiley

I have heard some glowing reports from my mates about Colchester after they went there last season.  They stated that the ground was shit, no atmosphere from the home support, long journey by car, countless gyppo's on roundabouts and no local alehouses in sight of the ground.  When you factor that in with the recent inspiring home performances against Yeovil, Tranmere, Exeter & Rochdale then I think I am making the right choice in going to Colchester.

Glad it links in well with flying out from Stansted to Dusseldorf on Saturday night otherwise it would have been a thanks, but no thanks.
