I've been on a plane that experienced "Tail-Strike" on takeoff.
It was pretty scary stuff!

We were chased down the runway by ambulances and fire-engines because the pilot was unable to dump our fuel tanks. Apparently landing with full fuel tanks is pretty dangerous.

Then we had to spend 12 hours waiting for a new plane in the departure lounge of Bristol 'International' airport.

I wasn't too bad, just glad to get out of that fucking departure lounge to be honest!
The flight was supposed to be at 11pm, so they re-opened the bar for us when we got back into the lounge. My Dad got steaming and decided he was gonna roll a joint with the small amount of resin he had on him but I convinced him it wasn't a good idea in an airport.

My mum (who didn't appreciate flying too much before the incident) now needs a shed-load of vallium before she can get on a plane.

And the 'compensation' they offered us? - free breakfast vouchers

No  Sad  we made a civilised exit from the plane, it was quite a good landing to be honest. Just hit the ground a bit hard and had to brake really hard because the of the momentum the extra weight had given us.
