I went to the Wigan game on saturday. The Geordie crowd are quick to get on the back of players when underperforming. Speaking to a few in the ground, the general consensus is that Carroll was a good target man in the Championship but not prolific enough in front of goal in the Premiership.

Was impressed with Wayne Routledge. Like a better version of Matt Ritchie.
