They are. It's causing fucking mayhem with traffic trying to get out of Town towards west Swindon. My usual 10 minute bus journey took 45 minutes today.

I can't help but think if it was a privately done thing, SBC would never have agreed to close the road. As it's one of theirs, they're happy to inflict misery on joe public.

That explains why it took me a ridiculous amount of time to get from Pipers Way to the Town Centre this evening, everyone must be taking different routes to try and avoid that area and gridlocking the rest of the area.

Good news in relation to the music venue, about bloody time!

Be a logisical nightmare getting lorries or tour buses to unload there?? not really anywhere to take out equipment is there? Good central location however!

I too almost missed a train due to the closure of Emlyn Square, Bloody nightmare!

There's a loading area out the back Gazza. Connects to the Bingo hall by a small alleyway.
