Pretty much confirmed now http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/may/19/david-villa-valencia-barcelona-arsenal

With this and the seeming likelihood of Fabregas going back there, they're going to be an unbelievably good team next year. Best club side of all time if they live up to potential? In an attempt to make this a slightly more interesting thread, if not them, who is?

(In before Swindon 2009/10, obviously)

Reading an article about the Villa transfer the other day, I noticed for the first time that he was on the books for Sporting Gijon when we played them in pre season before the 02/03 season. Can anyone remember if he played that day?, my only mermories of that game was that it was pretty hot, only the North Stand was open, and I'd just bought that hideous V neck home shirt, that weighed about a ton. He's on the program team sheet, but I know that means f' all when it comes to friendlies.
