8 and a half thousand sold according to someone I know who works at the club.

Couple more thousand should sell you'd think.

Depends if that includes the away tickets sold

My gas head mate says they have sold around 1200 tickets so far according to their travel club.

9337. That' my guess.

Please let the run last at least one more game!

ref: P TAYLOR. Doesn't ring any bells. That's good.

Interesting read on wiki  Huh?

OS says 9,300 sold so far. Not sure if that is in the home end or both. Presumably we're looking at a crowd of 10,500+ though which isn't bad given that Rovers isn't really a proper derby!

Oxford is a 'proper derby'.

The hatred isn't there against the Bristol teams so much as the yellow scum.

Not these days. It's pretty venomous against Rovers now and has been for the last 4 years. There was just a stop gap between 92-2006 where we either didn't care or never played them.

Really? To be honest I don't really care that much, and I think my claim that others feel the same is justified by the fact we struggled to sell our allocation there in December.

There was a study done about six years ago into who fans felt were their club's biggest rivals.  Our top three came up as, predictably, as: Oxford, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers.  In that order.

Given that we haven't played Oxford or City for a good few years, its only predictable that the Rovers derby would become more significant.  If City and Oxford ended up in the same league as us the Rovers thing would diminish naturally.

And no, I don't have a link, but its something like footballfancensus.com, and its called "the rivals".  Look it up for yourself.

There's a link to that survey on the Swindon wikipedia page. We've been been over this argument before. Just because Oxford are our number 1 rival doesn't mean we don't have other derbys.
