Channel 4 have decided to show the leader of Irans xmas message instead of the queens, most strange...lets face it he isnt a bundle of laughs is he,probably going to tell us what we want to hear to get a few brownie points....then again he might have his finger on the button, whatever he says its bound to be alternative though!

They do a different alternative each year don't they? Wasn't it the Simpsons one year, and that crazy American family another year, Richard Dawkins one year? Might have imagined the last one.

It's a fairly "ballsy" decision, but they should've at least stuck him on against the Queen, rather than 7.15!

I think it's great.

We can have Sinn Feinn doing a broadcast on St Georges Day, followed by the UDA on St Patricks day as well.  We should get whereismydinnerjacket to give a special message to the Jewish community at hannakah too.

There's a fine line between being edgy and giving succour to outright evil and C4 have stepped over the line.

Scum the lot of them.

Dickheads. Not least because they've made me agree with Ironside - it's "edgy" meeja nobends being provocative for the sake of it, because they know it will generate a furore, then they can act all surprised and come out with bullshit about "no intention to offend". They should have their hands cut off and then be stoned to death by outraged Daily Mail readers

Ahmadinejah doesn't actually say that about the death penalty, it's the Israeli ambassador. So it won't be included in the address, I imagine.
