anyone know a national firm who don't add on a young driver surcharge? they're all adding about £30 on to weekend hire because i'm 23.

When I did my placement at a golf tour operator we used a company called Auto Europe.  They act as an agent and book the cars via the actual rental outlets and because of their size they receive the best rates at the majority of them.
I'm fairly sure that they did have surcharges for certain age groups but I can't remember what the age was.  Worth having a look though as you'll probably find the prices will be very competitive
