I haven't seen a bonefide hippy in about two years.  He buggered off to Thailand.  Nice chap, he had gone bald was 6'6 enjoyed a smoke and had a laugh like Frank Bruno.

In all seriousness does anyone know if there are still hippy (not travellers) communities out there.  I know there are a couple still left out in Goa but surely the rest haven't all become accountants?

Ran into a few out in Nimbin just outside Byron Bay in Oz but that was more a hashish supermarket than anything else.

Think I'll sell this apartment and buy myself a guesthouse in Cambodia and live happily ever after.

So cheap it's going to cost about 25k if you want to go halves?

I've come across travellers, who stick pretty much to teh hippy philosophy....namely use horses and traditional caravans, they tend to gather at Avebury over the coming few weeks ready for the solstice....which is always worth a trip...if just to see birds dancing naked on Silbury Hill.

I think all the hippies have moved into the justice system, how else can the court of human rights exist. How else can people be jailed (gaoled) for shooting theiving scum in their own home.

Pah, hippies. Only good hippie was Neil.

Some of them are quite scary. I have to drive through it to get home frm swindon and usually its quite late, there are always people hanging about with skulls and candles and stuff. Not something that i really plan on doing.
Although saying that i was thinking about goin to the solstice just to look.

......you could always go via Woooton Bassett.

You get a lot of traffic and parking problems caused by tourists......and Wilts Constabulary are keen on dishing out as many tickets as possible.....I ride my bike along the Ridgeway.

yeah i do go that way sometimes, but alot of my friends live up in old town and its alot easier instead of going through town. Plus wotton basset was there are always alot of slow lorries, and its hard to over take on that road.
