I think they get annoyed when people dump a bag full of unsorted stuff on them, half of which is just rubbish. I had a conversation with the lady in Vic Hill shop about it before. Quite often if you walk past you'll see a couple of bin bags of stuff outside the door even though there's a sign up saying "please don't leave donations outside the door" or something. Normally on Sundays.

when i was hitching round europe in the late eighties there used to be this bookshop in paris next to the notre dame cathedral, you could work in the shop for the afternoon and they would give you a bed for the night, the beds were hidden amongst the books on the shelves, was fucking amazing place.

stuff that I no longer need - It wasnt crap - it was mostly clothes - some still had labels on - a pair of Russelll and Bromley shoes too

Why did they refuse it? Did they say?

Anyway, textile banks are a pretty good way of getting rid of old clothes.

Yeah but some of the clothes were brand new - They are a bit funny in the Bradford on Avon shop - I feel like they look down on me - she just said they werent accepting donations or something - I think it might be cause she knows my boss - he found out they spent 20 grand on curtains for the old shop and made a complaint

Why would you get rid of brand new clothes? Did you get too fat for them?
