Well it sort of split the fan base into a cool protester clique and a "head in the sand it will go away" lot.Turned out we both right though really.

I was thinking about this earlier, having had a  brief chat with Mr Wilks at the Old Bank do....he deserves a bit of credit for sticking his head above the parapet and fronting up an abeit failed attempt to drive out the forces of darkness.

It did have the effect of telling Newbury their time was up. Cheesy

Agree with that Reg.  Mike Wilkes deserves a friendly pat on the back for standing up to the old lot.  Must have put him in a bit of a sticky situation or two come matchday.  Always seemed to have the best interests of the club at heart.

I know its not easy, but if you can, grab a load of Season ticket leaflets from the club shop, and drop them on tables when you go down the pub.

Everything is looking good at the moment. But I dont think Wray/Fitton/Watkins are going to be too happy if we fail to get this 6,000. Especially when you have clubs like Huddersfield smashing 15,000 season tickets already, and Bradford last year.

A club like ours is always fragile, because we are always out to push above our weight. Unless we are averaging 8500+ there is no way we deserve to go up.

If we play consistently well people will come and we will average above 8500. If we remain rdiculously inconsistent and get stuck in midtable it simply wont happen

So as of today we should be debt free

Fitton out...we're not used to STFC not being in serious debt, it just don't seem right  :-))(

We should get lots of new debt buying ace players. That would definitely work out fine.

Constant impending doom was character building and made us special.

You've always been "special" Olive. As those pictures with Bill Power have proved to the world.
